The Bearded Theologians sat down with David Worthington, Global Ambassador of Methodist Heritage Sites for The United Methodist Church, just before his visit to the Mountain Sky Conference.

David has spent nearly two decades helping people encounter Methodist history as inspiration for modern mission. After years of leadership at John Wesley’s New Room in Bristol, England, he was named Global Ambassador of Methodist Heritage Sites by the United Methodist General Commission on Archives and History in 2024.

One of the key things we learned from David is that Methodist heritage isn’t about nostalgia—it’s a dynamic resource for outreach, mission, and reimagining faithful ministry in a changing world.
